“As an art teacher, I’m incredibly proud of our National Art Honor Society students for using their artistic talents to contribute to the community,” said NAHS co-sponsor Holly Gottenborg. “Painting this crosswalk in Nags Head showcases their creativity while making a lasting impact by enhancing public spaces and bringing art into everyday life.”
As members of the NAHS, students are required to complete 15 service hours annually while maintaining good academic standing. This project allowed students to fulfill their service requirements while making a lasting impact on their community. This is the second cohort of National Art Honor Society members at Manteo High School.
