The Manteo High School Marching Band has had an outstanding competition season, earning the Overall Band Champion Award in the 2025 Panther Band Classic and the Swansboro Seaside Classic this month.
- 1st Place - General Effect
- 1st Place - Musical Performance
- 1st Place - Percussion
- 1st Place - Color Guard
- 1st Place - Marching
The Manteo High School Band carried the same momentum to the Seaside Classic in Swansboro, NC on Saturday, Oct. 25th, earning the Overall Band Championship in Class 1A, along with the following recognitions:
- 1st Place - Music Performance
- 1st Place - General Effect
- 2nd Place - Percussion
- 2nd Place - Visual Effect
- 3rd Place - Color Guard
Adding to the excitement, the Manteo musicians debuted their new uniforms earlier this fall at the second home football game of the season and were able to showcase them again during the competition season.
"It’s been a long time coming, but so worth the wait! When you look good, you perform even better—and this team is taking it to the next level this year. I couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication,” said Manteo High School Band Director Leslie Erickson.
