Advisory Committee

The Manteo High School Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee consists of education, business, industry, and community members.  The committee meets biannually with its purpose and objectives: 

*To assist our school in performing its duty to provide career and technical education instruction, activities, and services; 

*To identify economic and workforce development trends related to the training and educational needs of the local community; and 

*Advocate for strong local career and technical education programs that include, as appropriate, development of career pathways that provide work-based learning opportunities and prepare students for post-secondary certifications and credentialing for high-demand careers.

Annual Notice

Dare County Schools (DCS) offer a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available to all students at the middle and high school levels. The CTE program areas include the following: Agricultural Education; Business, Finance and Information Technology Education; Career Development; Family and Consumer Sciences Education; Health Science Education; Marketing and Entrepreneurship Education; Technology Engineering and Design Education, and Trade and Industrial Education. All program areas are not offered at all schools.
