The SECU Foundation offers a 4-year scholarship valued at $10,000 to graduating seniors who plan to attend a 4-year public university in North Carolina. In addition, the student or the parent must be a member of the State Employees Credit Union. The Applications must be emailed to Ms. Yelle in the Counseling Office by March 2nd. Please read the instructions carefully and in particular, note that the 2-page application must be submitted as a Word document, not a PDF. General Scholarships will be posted as we receive them. These are scholarships that are not included in the Local Scholarship Packet.
These are scholarships available to any high school student. Please feel free to review and apply to any you qualify for. For assistance, please see College Advisor Mr. Stevenson.
Automotive Women's Association Scholarships: $2,500 - 15 awards available to female students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who are enrolled or will be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary automotive program. Deadline: June 12, 2021.
Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program: Available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic listed on the scholarship web page. Deadline: June 12, 2021.
Students Against Drinking and Driving Scholarship: $2,500 - Available to a student who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher who has been admitted to a college or university and submits an essay of 500 to 1,000 words. Deadline: June 15, 2021.
There's Space for Everyone Scholarship: $2,500, 4 awards. Incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university during the fall 2021 semester are eligible to apply.
Girls Impact the World Scholarship Awards: $5,000 - 12 awards. Deadline: June 15, 2021.
NC Scholarship - $2,000 - 12 Awards: To be eligible, a student must be currently enrolled as a high school senior or a student enrolled at an accredited college or university located within the U.S. and have a GPA of at least 2.5. Deadline: June 30, 2021.
AGMA Foundation Scholarship Program: $5,000 - 8 awards. To be eligible, a student must be interested in a career in the gear industry, and/or power transmission as it relates to the gear industry; and be currently enrolled or recently accepted as a full or part-time student in a nationally accredited program. Deadline: July 1, 2021.
Stand Up to Distracted Driving Scholarship: $2,000 - 5 awards. Student must be starting college in the fall, and have a GPA of at least 3.0. Deadline: July 1, 2021.
Bottar Leone Scholarship: $2,500 - 2 awards. A student must be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have a documented physical or mental learning disability. Deadline: July 1, 2021.
JusticePays: A $1000 scholarship open to anyone attending, or planning to attend a university or college within the 2021-2022 academic year. All the information about the scholarship and how to apply can be found here: https://www.justicepays.com/
