The SECU Foundation offers a 4-year scholarship valued at $10,000 to graduating seniors who plan to attend a 4-year public university in North Carolina. In addition, the student or the parent must be a member of the State Employees Credit Union. The Applications must be emailed to Ms. Yelle in the Counseling Office by March 2nd. Please read the instructions carefully and in particular, note that the 2-page application must be submitted as a Word document, not a PDF. General Scholarships
These are scholarships available to any high school student. Please feel free to review and apply to any you qualify for. For assistance, please see College Advisor Mr. Stevenson.
Louie Family Foundation Scholarships:To be eligible, a student must be a freshman in the 2021-2022 school year at a U.S. accredited college/university; have a cumulative un-weighted GPA between between 3.7 and 4.0; and have a minimum SAT score of 1300 (of out 1600) or a minimum ACT score of 27. Applications found here. Deadline: March 15, 2021.
FEEA Scholarships - $5,000 - 400 Awards. To be eligible, a student must be a child, step-child or legal dependent of full or part-time permanent federal civilian or postal workers employed with the federal government for more than three years. Deadline: March 25, 2021.
Save a Life Scholarship 2020: This scholarship is offered by the American Academy of CPR and First Aid, Inc., exclusively to students majoring in the healthcare and education fields. There is a grand prize of $1,500 for the student that best showcases why they chose their selected major or field of study. The Spring 2021 deadline is May 1, 2021. Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program: Available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic listed on the scholarship web page.Deadline: June 12, 2021.
JusticePays: A $1000 scholarship open to anyone attending, or planning to attend a university or college within the 2021-2022 academic year. All the information about the scholarship and how to apply can be found here: https://www.justicepays.com/scholarship. Deadline: December
