The SECU Foundation offers a 4-year scholarship valued at $10,000 to graduating seniors who plan to attend a 4-year public university in North Carolina. In addition, the student or the parent must be a member of the State Employees Credit Union. The Applications must be emailed to Ms. Yelle in the Counseling Office by March 2nd. Please read the instructions carefully and in particular, note that the 2-page application must be submitted as a Word document, not a PDF. General Scholarships will be posted as we receive them. These are scholarships that are not included in the Local Scholarship Packet.
These are scholarships available to any high school student. Please feel free to review and apply to any you qualify for. For assistance, please see College Advisor Mr. Stevenson.
Thermo Fisher Scientific Antibody Scholarship: $10,000 - 6 awards. Students must be 18 or older as of August 5, 2021, and have a declared major of biology, chemistry, bio-chemistry or a related life science field. Deadline: May 5, 2021.
OBX GO FAR Scholarship: OBX Go Far is proud to name it’s College Education Fund in honor of Shane Miles. The Miles College Education Fund carries Shane’s name as a legacy of love and courage, helping many children to achieve their dream of education and running the bigger journey of life.
The college education fund recognizes participants of OBX GO FAR who have remained engaged in running, volunteerism, teaching others the life long sport of running and engaging the family in healthy life styles to combat childhood obesity. To date, OBX GO FAR, Inc. has awarded $7,000 dollars in college education funds since 2018. OBX GO FAR, Inc. celebrates it’s 11th Year Anniversary this year with this additional gift and naming opportunity to build the fund to over $11,000 additional dollars. Funds have been donated generously through the Billfish Tournament, individual and anonymous donors. Three additional scholarships will be given again this year. Deadline: May 15, 2021.
SP High School Scholarship: $10,000 - 10 awards. Available to high school students planning to attend college in September 2021. Deadline: May 31, 2021.
SILA Foundation Scholarships: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be pursuing a course of study in Business Administration, Education, Finance or Accounting, Insurance studies, Marketing or Mathematics. Deadline: May 31, 2021.
10x Digital Marketing Scholarship: $2,000. Available to a high school senior who plans to major in a field related to digital marketing. Deadline: June 1, 2021.
AGC Workforce Development Scholarships: $1,000 - 100 awards. A student must plan to attend a technical school or approved craft training program in any discipline of construction. Deadline: June 1, 2021.
Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program: Available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic listed on the scholarship web page. Deadline: June 12, 2021.
There's Space for Everyone Scholarship: $2,500, 4 awards. Incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university during the fall 2021 semester are eligible to apply.
Girls Impact the World Scholarship Awards: $5,000 - 12 awards. Deadline: June 15, 2021.
JusticePays: A $1000 scholarship open to anyone attending, or planning to attend a university or college within the 2021-2022 academic year. All the information about the scholarship and how to apply can be found here: https://www.justicepays.com/
